I was born in Varna, Bulgaria.I had my first contact with the piano when I was just 5 years old-I was admitted as a student in the prestigious State Music School "Dobri Hristov".

I studied piano in the class of Prof Eugen Pilibosian for the next 13 years.During this time I took part in many but not less than 2 a year piano concerts as a solo performer.
The repertoire range was exciting and very wide-from Bach and Handel to Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninow and some contemporary composers.

At 1984 I took part in the "Svetoslav Obretenoff" National Piano Competition - and was awarded 3rd prize.
During my time as a student in this School I was also a private student with Prof Liuba Obretenova and Prof Millena Mollova-both professors with the Musical Conservatoire-Sofia, Bulgaria-both very well known names amidst the
musical society in Bulgaria and Europe.

I graduated the Music School with excellent marks and a Silver Star for achievements and soon after that I spent a year teaching piano in a private music school near Varna.During this year I became a private student of Prof Liubomir Dinolov-who was also teaching in the Musical Conservatoire-an extremely intense period of learning for me which I am so grateful about.

Upon finishing this first year of my teaching experience I entered the competition and was admitted as a student in the Academy of Music and Dance Arts-city of Plovdiv with Prof George Petrov as my piano tutor.
Prof Petrov is an exceptional musician with a passion for music and piano music in particular.I am very grateful for everything I learned there and for all the opportunities I was given for the 4 years course of study.I took part in many concerts and just some of the most interesting of them that I could mention were: Chopin-all of the Nocturnes, Bach-Die Kunst Der Fuge, Beethoven-all of the Piano Concertos as I am proud to say that I was the person to perform Piano Concerto N5-an unforgettable experience for me.

After graduating the Academy as a Bachelor in Music I devoted most of my time to my students as I was very happy to pass them everything that I have learned so far.

I moved to London in the Summer of 2000 and since then I managed to establish a very big class with more than 40 regular students with numbers of them passing exams with excellent results.

In London I teach Piano and Music Theory and I prepare students from Grade 1 to Grade 8 and beyond.I am very happy to have complete beginners-adults or children-as I find it easier to teach somebody from scratch and build up on skills afterwards.

As a tutor I am demanding but committed to you, friendly but strict. You can contact me on my email address which is mimi_todorova@hotmail.com or on my landline which is: 0208 931 5610 and I will be more than happy to get back to you with any sort of advice that you may need-being it just a question on a certain musical problem, need of piano lessons or even need of some other instrumental tuition.
I will do my best to be of any help so please, feel free to call.
